When wandering through Bunny Hills you often get to meet new and exciting friends. These little plump hogs don’t seem too friendly at first, telling of a lack of decent food and how they moved to Bunny Hills to enjoy the plentiful carrots on offer.

One of the more welcoming Hogs went on to explain the entire story of being forced to move home and wander for food.

Listening to the plump little hogs was a little sad – but not for long, as we offered to invite them to a picnic we had arranged!

Mentioning fine quality Carrots and all manner of delicious foods to the little hogs – and a picnic that was about to begin, was all that was needed to cheer them up! Everyone was welcome..

Setting up the Picnic is a serious business as you always end up with more than you bargained for!

With the Picnic almost completely set up, we can begin by showing the little hogs what wondrous treats we have on offer.

Bunny Hills is always alive to the sound of munching, laughter.. and a little music! You simply cannot fail to enjoy the splendor, beauty and twinkle of magic that the hills bring to those that care to feel the magic.

Bunny Towers takes another look at some of the carrot munching shenanigans that have been taking place in Bunny land over the course of the past few days.

It came as no surprise to learn that Valdor King had taken up his new self appointed position as “preacher to those that will listen..”

Faith is like a good carrot .. you need to believe your next munch is just around the corner! Without faith, well .. there would be no carrots and we’d all be bashing each other! If VK comes a calling, the least you can do is be respectful and give him a moment of your time!

Bunnies have some amazing friends scattered throughout the lands, and its always fun to catch up and go on special adventures before returning home for ones tea, carrots and crumpets.

Quite literally, looking ones best is as important  as tangoing ViNC whenever he’s not looking! The two go hand-in-hand like fruity mango juice, a slice of cheese and some deliciously served carrots on rum and raisin fudge.

Our intrepid adventurer Bunny Jones has been away for quite a while looking for all manner of lost artefacts, but he seems to have finally struck Gold, so to speak! It appears that he has finally found the lost Ark; said to contain such magical wonders that a single Bunny can simply not comprehend! Unfortunately it appears the beautifully made Ark appears to be in a mysterious lost city – and its ruler, King Nebuchad’Bunny is no pushover. It seems he will not give up his most powerful treasure without a fight ..

We all knows a Bunny likes nothing better to sit down to a nice healthy breakfast, lunch and dinner.. and treat – but when you have to make your own and not rely on someone else to make it for you, it soon becomes apparent that those pesky cookers are a danger to any would-be-cook! Me thinks it would be a good idea to provide said cooker with a live-in chef .. preferably Chpate_Sa, who knows her way around a carrot or two.

Sometimes its better to keep ones protests to ones self.. Such as discovering your carrots have been eaten by someone a little larger and a lot more aggressive than yourself, you chose your battles wisely. However, in the case of H4H protestors it might be better to simply give up the fight entirely, as it appears the PRO-H4H group are fighting back in form of a drive-by-bashing ..  rotten carrots thrown at a group of would-be-complainers. The Bunny Kops will be after you .. whoever you may be, mark my bloomin words!

Club-Bun is known for its late night revelry – with its dance floor getting more than its share of bunny bouncing moves. But what about the DJ who provides all of the fun that we take for granted. Here Catie and Depetwee show off their skills on the deck and provide more than enough heart pounding entertainment for the night .. and early morning!

Boo, known to many for her love of Cake.. and to others for her love of Pudding decides to take the day off looking all glam and show off her new Famer’Girl look! It came as a little surprise for us both to bump into an Alfie look-a-likie who appeared to be acting as a farm manager! Me didn’t like the fact he could be heard screaming, “Get off my land you pesky carrot robbers!” .. Is it any wonder his teeth and hair have fallen out at such a young age! The grump.. Boooo, oh .. me means, Moooo!

Anyone who is no-one (and his pet tortoise, Clyde) knows that ViNC has been touting himself lately as a master-creator, working primarily on a scene for a level that requires an extremely frightening monster to appear that terrifies a group of people working on a submarine! Well, if there is one thing you can be sure its that ViNCenzo will come up with something as least scary as one can possibly come up with!

It’s almost become a game in itself, “Spot the Burtie and win 5 Carrots..” – He has been soooo busy with his plumbing and building work in Bunny land that the mere fact that we have had no issues of late with our carrot sprinklers can be put down to the tiresome work this little inventive Bunny has been putting in!

Well, this just about wraps up another sprinkle of whats-what and whose-not in Bunny land! Have fun, until next time…!

One of Bunnylands more eccentric creators, Coasterfreak1235,  is set to launch his new level “Illogical Tales: Spoiled Tea-Time”. We decided to up carrots and head on over and take a look prior to launch. We discuss some of the finer matters that faces a typical creator, styles of levels that should be banned, taking over MM for the day and the dreaded subject of H4H’ers. Coaster pulls no punches, so read on.

Firstly, your alias – ‘Coasterfreak’, should we read anything into your choice of alias. It implies some degree of love (or fear perhaps) of all things roller-coaster related, that simple?

“Oh my God, how did you know? No, really, actually I like them pretty much. And I ‘kinda’ didn´t come up with any other name.”

You have a reputation as one of the more eccentric creators amongst some your friends and fellow creators; not necessarily for thinking outside of the box, but expecting others to jump out and play there for the duration! One example might be that a typical Coaster level is often immensely difficult by comparison to the more generic levels one might find, maddeningly so it has to be said. Is this well founded, or is your personal difficulty threshold simply out of kilter with most players. Roller-coasters, extreme difficulty.. a pattern forming?

“Oh goodie, I have a reputation? Actually I don´t think that my levels are THAT difficult (though I´ve been told so very numerous times), but just challenging. But also it maybe be because my obstacles interrupting the walkway to the scoreboard may have certain patterns what are not so easy to be noted for a first-time player. And for the pattern… now it seems to be like extreme difficulty, extreme difficulty, extreme difficulty… I´ve found out that LBP seems to dislike a realistic coaster. Shame on you.”

Talk us through the typical process of design->create->publish; such as where your inspiration comes from, moving towards creation and then your thoughts on publishing.

“I get inspired from many things. LBP levels, other games, bizarre ideas thought just before sleeping… then I leave it in my head for few days (or overnight if it seems really promising) and start to create and just see what it becomes. Or I just start creating something, decide that it´s something and just keep on creating. Probably half of my ideas get discarded. The create part takes usually a MONTH, depending how fun the project is and do I get ideas for the obstacles. Also i seem to have a habit of inviting friends more frequently that it would be reasonable to get feedback. The publish phase can take a week or two, depending of the need for polishing and trouble-blasting.”

There seems to have been quite a backlash building recently towards ”H4H’rs” – seemingly turning some of the once placid LBP community into a modern day baying mob, demanding a public stoning. What side of the fence are you on, because some might argue that getting a level noticed is more stressful than the actual creation process – and H4H’ing is merely fanning the flames of a level that might otherwise fall beside the wayside.

” I guess I´d go with the angry mob in this one. I DO hate those empty levels consisting of nothing but an entrance gate and a scoreboard, those people don´t even TRY to make anything! (See ‘level rage’ further on.) Yes, I´ll join the angry mob at the barricades. See ya thear! That is, if I´m not creating.”

Have you always been a creative person and if so, in what respect?

“I´m a horrible drawer, but I´ve been gadding with Legos as long as I can remember. I hear that I have an excellent talent of understandind 3D objects drawn into 2D.”

Getting back to level design – what would you say makes a good level?

“I like uniqueness. Good visuals are a bonus, but it doesn´t necessary mean a splattered rainbow. Also it should have a degree of difficulty, not a cake walk. Although exceptions do exist.”

Has LBP affected the way you view and play other games in terms of changing your tastes? Put another way, out of your entire gaming collection - would LBP be the game you could least live without – or is there some title that you consider to be personally more rewarding?

“No. I liked games like LBP before, puzzle/platformers. An excelling example would be Braid, a game with outstanding graphics and music. And the gameplay toys with time, C likes! Though I´ve found myself playing also games like WipEout HD… I have a wide taste.”

Out of your previously published levels – which are you most proud of and for what reason?

“Let´s see. Plain Platformer, for inducing a MASSIVE amount of frustration and rewardingness after getting past that devious point. Then there´s The Pendulum Room, my one and only survival challenge so far, though a new one may be in the making… TPR has, I think, an interesting hazard – the room topples. I like. Then there´s The (Unusual) Tower to Heaven, one of my longest levels. I also like that the ‘rooms’ are hung from´above in a chain. You (the reader) make the final order.”

We all have a memory of our earliest time playing LBP – the one ’stand out moment’ that we recall, usually, with fondness – for you, this would be?

“I suppose it would be the first time ever I played LBP. The level was The Wedding Reception, I smiled all day. Or then it was when I aced The Bunker.”

What makes you cringe and irritates you the most about LBP?

“Ah, ‘Level Rage’ as a Bun named it. I can´t stand when obviously bad levels get to Page One and even hearted 1000 times when my levels are stuck in page 10(upper index)1000. Or the miscompatiblity between LBP and realistic roller coasters.”

What was the last thing that made you laugh in LBP?

” Can´t remember, but it was a quality level. I hope.”

If you could ban a particular style of level, which would it be?

” Now that the bomb survivals seem to be dead, I think it would be ‘Shark Survival.’ Or every over-apperciated and over–rated level there is.”

Regarding the first level you ever published – in retrospect, is this something you remain proud of, or must its name never be spoken again?

“I think there´s nothing special in it. Not ashamed, but not so proud. My levels are thankfully evolved from that…”

What is your favourite tool in creation?

“All kinds of bolts, pistons, switches and the others in the page. If they don´t count, the corner editing tool.”

Imagine your head of MM for the day and can make sweeping changes to the LBP universe from both a developer and player perspective; what would be the three changes you would enforce?

“Aw, only three? Now…

1. The Gravity Changing tool. Choose between universal gravity or just the player´s or defined objects.

2. The World Manipulating Zone. A predefined zone, what gives the player the same might as in My Moon while creating levels. A must have!

3. Better sticker making. If I wanted a, let´s say, red-and-white circle, i would have to take a quadrangle picture including the colour of the background. Stupid. Or then the ability to import pictures.”

You have been rather vocal at times about your feelings that levels that attain high ratings not necessarily live up to your own expectations. If you had the ability to overhaul the rating system what changes would you enforce?

“Ah, ‘Level Rage’: The Cure. (half an hour later) I have no idea. Match the community´s likes suiting to mine? Maybe I´ll just go to the corner of my pod and be quiet about it.”

Where have you take inspiration from during your time as a creator?

“Everywhere. Other levels, other games, other TV shows, the time between the decision to sleep to the actual sleeping. An bizarrre example is Illogical Tales: The Spoiled Tea Time – I got the spark while hanging from a tentacle in the level Sacky Potter and the Philosopher´s Sponge. That´ll also give you the idea how long making a level takes from me… (I´ve heard rumours that there´s a level being made at Sub-Coaster speeds… it twists your brain.)”

Tell us a little bit about your latest level “Illogical Tales: The Spoiled Tea Time” and what players can expect.

“The level gameplay itself is a hang ‘n’ grab styled building site with lots of side secrets. And lots of score bubbles to find. And an intro I´ve heard some feedback. And a stump of a mysterious story. That may be inspired by a certain book that has the numbers ‘42′.”

You have included a “Skip” feature to allow players to pass checkpoints to combat difficulty issues and still enjoy the level. Do you think it has mass market appeal that will stand the test of time and prove your design decisions right?

“I hope so. The SKIP sign has proven to be a mystery for most of the mass I´ve played with. Although I´ve received a number of positive feedback and one 6 star rating. YaY!”

How much time do you generally devote to creating your levels and what the typical length from beginning to publishing?

As mentioned before, about a month depending of the level and how fun it is to create. This time period is a variable and (soon) known as ‘The C Length’. Sub-C Length is on the edge of making no physical sense. For example, The TTPC has been in production for over 4/5 of a year and project dead..

“Illogical Tales: The Spoiled Tea Time” – Can you explain the relation between the choice of name and the level?

In the level, the name connects only that in the beginning, the main character mentions that the time he had to leave the hotel was 5 p.m. You figure it out.

What do you think about water?

“I think it´s a fun think to toy with. But soon, it won´t be a constant in the new levels but turn into an addition. Also I think that it´s good with faking reverse gravity.”

It was time to wrap up and spend a little more quality time with Illogical Tales: Spoiled Tea-Time and form an opinion .

The “construction site” theme that coaster has set for the backdrop to the mayhem suits the level well. We recommend you pay particular attention to any arrows that may appear and look out for any hidden areas that deviate off track.

It is true to say that Coasterfreak makes demands on players, expecting they challenge themselves instead of mindlessly running through a level without any true sense of reward for reaching it’s ending.

This is not to say that many will not find the level “difficult” – a word that has often been associated with many of his levels, but with the inclusion of the “Skip” feature this should allow everyone to enjoy the level. We here at Bunny Towers enjoyed the level, although remain adamant that Coaster deliberately peppers his levels with moments of maddening frustration that is music to his ears!

A week in the life of a Bunny often involves a carrot full of excitement, a smidgen of bashing, a healthy dose of bravado and, above all, plenty bouncing mixed in with some good old fashioned adventuring. Good enough reason to welcome in our week in review …

Depewtee, Chase & Catie have gone to great lengths to demonstrate their Rockstar potential recently, with Chase putting in a vocal performance that would make Simon Cowell run for his cheque book and sign him up to a five album deal. – Boo just had to get in on the act and show that she was good enough material as lead groupie .. well, I think thats what she said!

Baby Bun Bun has gone through many a thrilling adventure in his time in Bunnyland.. But he simply cannot take rival bunnies coming to gawp at him when trying to snuggle and relax! He eventually decided to make a break for it and hide behind some foliage, but sadly was soon spotted; before showing his disdain to the troublesome bunnies who had caused his unrest! Fortunately two walking carrots (.. fancy dress! ) happened to walk on by and seemed to calm his little nerves down as he tried to turn both into his next meal ..

Chpz is world renowned in Bunnyland for her ever-changing designer costumes – although occasionally can go one step too far as can be seen above.

It’s one of the worst things that can happen to anyone – snooze for a few moments and then wake up and find that you have been tangoed; with your entire costume accessorized in the blink of an eye! Poor ViNC discovered such a fate and was eager to show anyone that would listen what had befallen him.. the howls of laughter that have been heard for the entire week have largely been down to the embarrassment of being caught in such a manner..

The Bunball Rally had its seventh event earlier this week with Chase running away with first prize amid some controversy in which he was accused of nobbling rival vehicles and winning by any means possible! There is always next time ..!!

Boo showed off the Bunny within, firstly with her Bunny-girl outfit and then allowing herself to be styled by makeover professional to the stars,  VinC, in full bunny atire..  although it was quickly agreed she resembled a mouse more than a Bunny!

Outside of rustling and munching another Bunnies carrots – it takes a lot to get us angry; but lately this seems to have changed with growing protests at H4H’ers! We found a group of seemingly orthodox-wayward bunnies stop us on our travels and demand that H4Hs be punishable by law, taken to the front of bunny-gardens, placed in the stocks.. and have rotten carrots thrown at them for the entire time it takes Coasterfreak to create a level; which is rather long in its duration I might add.

It’s been a long time coming but Coasterfreak will almost certainly be releasing his new level any time soon – and that means intense fun with the perfect dose of frustration that will have you either kicking your carrots or munching with anticipation towards the next checkpoint.

It’s always nice to end on the brighter side – and welcome in a new week with the same gusto as the week before!

It just so happens that we have plenty of carrots and as many friends, and none as happy or as friendly (unless crossed!) as Chpate_eSa; one of the longest residents in Bunnyland and simply a delightful companion to have on your adventures! If you have not already got Chpz as one of your bestest-friends-in-the-whole-wide-world then you must surely be neither bunny nor carrot lover and therefore hang your head in shame for the duration of your next adventure!

In what is sure to have elongated ears twitching for the foreseeable future – Murder (or “Mur-da”) seems to be afoot!

Bunny land is in shock after hearing that Gee – habitual costume designer extraordinaire and friend to the many as well as the few, has mysteriously vanished into, well .. thin air!

In what is believed to be the shocking discovery of his Body in close friend, VinC’s pod, it was quickly left to Chief Inspector Kop of the Bunny Yard to investigate.

The meticulous inspector soon demanded answers, and it quickly became apparent that Boo seemed like the only candidate, especially as it soon became evident that all fingers and paws began to point in her direction after being seen loitering around the crime scene earlier that day!

It further transpires that this case bares alarming similarities to that of 1784, fitting the profile of the mysterious Phantom Bunny basher of Old Bunny Town; when a calling card would be left along with the victim that had been bashed!

Could Boo really be the Phantom Bunny Basher of Old Bunny Town – or is she merely a pink innocent bystander who laughs in the face of Mur’da? We will keep you posted – but until more information is know, we urge all of Bunny land to tread extra carefully…

It’s no surprise to learn that the freezing blizzard like conditions that much of Bunny land recently faced sadly resulted in two inches of snow falling on to the roof of Bunny Towers HQ. Usually not a problem we’d agree, but for the fact that our chief Health and Safety officer decided he needed a week more time to take care of a level he was designing, then promptly shut the entire building down. All on grounds that two inchestoday and more tomorrow could result in a cataclysmic style event. Oh nooooes we hear you say….

One week later we are happy to report that bunnies are returning out of their homes after a good thawing out and making excellent use of their time by getting into all manner of troubles and scrapes as only bunnies know how! Bunny Towers will be at hand to report all of the gossip in bunny land just as before.. but with lashings more carrot topping.

Levels to look forward to very soon indeed – by our very own by Coasterfreak (it’s looking like a cracker to us) and indeed one by Burtie, should be released soon our spies tell us; with Burtie continuing Bunny Adventure in part 2 of his series – and by all accounts is amazing! VinC recently released Frosty Adventure that kept him quiet for the hole Holiday period, so more levels from VinC would be ideal!

It goes without saying that this is a time for being merry and having as utterly fun and splendicious time as one possibly can; and as only bunnies know how! We therefore wish to take this time to wish all the our friends in bunny land the very best holiday fun.. including  Burtie, VinC, Gee, KK, Lola, Boo, Chase,WP,  Squdz, Chpz, Coaster, VK, AW, Skel, Tyler, KFals and every bloomin-one-else out there who loves LBP as much as we do..

Bloomin water has finally arrived and we are ever so happy! It’s at times like this that one has an urge to get ones carrots out and give them a jolly good wash in the nice fresh cooling water before it gets too polluted. I best also take a peek around whilst there aren’t too many people around and see what’s going on down here.

I’m find that I am already meeting new friends that I never new existed before and they seem really rather nice too!

Also finding out that there are still some unsavory characters down here too, just as there are on land! Best to poke em if they come too close! Shooo Shoo you ugly beasts!!

Well, me tired now from my first dip in the water and will more than likely be jumping in again soon – so until then, carrots ahoy!

The Bunny Creeds existence was originally tied to the Carrot plight of 1202 when carrots were outlawed during the rain of King Constantine The Queasy, who found that as a child he had a hatred for carrots after mistaking one for a fish-finger, swallowing it whole and choking to the point of nearly missing out on his kingship.

The Creed successfully fought a raging battle that helped dispose of Queasy and return some semblance of order to bunny land and return carrots to the menu. It was during this relative time of peace that support for the Order faded.

Rumors about the resurgence of the order began to mount recently after discovering a parchment attached to the belfry in a little village in bunny hills:

“A Templar Bunny is truly a fearless knight, and secure on every side, for his soul is protected by the armor of faith, just as his body is protected by the armor of steel. He is thus doubly armed, and need fear neither demons nor mortals. We have returned to finish our work.”

We are unsure what work the order of the Creed is referring to .. but be assured that when justice or carrots are threatened, the Creed will resurface.

We will be delving further into the Templar Bunny order in a later feature.
