Bunnies big holiday adventure – or – “There’s something in the lag!”

In what is utterly carrot munchingly mindbogglingly breaking breaking news, with some more breaks put on top for good measure, mixed with a bucketful of sadness; we have come into one of the pictures of the decade! No, not discovering the elusive Golden carrot of Tanis! But better, scarier for all those concerned and .. well, just wait and see!!! We can almost not hide our utter glee at getting to publish the pictures first, here at Bunny Towers!! But more about that later…

The story begins rather quaintly if the truth be told, two bunnies deciding to go on lovely refreshing soothing holiday together. The two in-love Bunnies began their adventure as all bunnies do, in their Pod, preparing, packing and arguing!

Bunnies getting ready for big holiday adventure.

Holidays are always a fun time for Bunnies as they get to go out and enjoy life without having to worry about all the usual things going on at home. One thing to be sure of though, is to get good security just in case those pesky Pod Raiders decide to pay a visit and steal something, or worse, trash a pod! It’s happened to us all, and it’s not very nice!

Once packing has been done its time to head off – but not before making sure toothbrushes, carrots .. and carrots have been packed for the long journey ahead.

Caught the coach to the cruise just in time!

Punctuality is a good thing, unlike certain Bunnies that have been known to turn up late, miss the coach, the flight and everything else. Mentioning no names to certain Bunnies beginning with P and ending in L! But just look at the two above, it’s just so sweet to see them taking the time to enjoy themselves on a nice relaxing holiday.

Going into the SS.LBP!

This is not the time to be forgetting passports, tickets or Carrots for that matter! Fortunately they were presented just fine and the journey on the S.S.L.B could begin.

Heading to our cabin.

The ship by all accounts, was said to be “comfortable” with a lovely cuisine, although did hit a few rough patches along the way.

Just look at the beautiful view.

Being on the deck in the evening reveals some beautiful sights, like the whales and dolphins who pass by to say hello and the fun to be had waving back at them.

Final destination to hotel!!

Its good to keep ones spirits up, but deep down there is some apprehension as to how good the hotel is going to be upon arrival. One can never quite tell if the brochure is accurate or not. It won’t be long before we find out.. head on the coach, the final trip to the hotel is not far away!

Arrived at hotel.

Now this is nice!! You can always judge a good hotel by its presentation and this one deserves a full five star bunny rating before even entering!

Greeted by Hotel Concierge

Will you just look at that – it might be evening, but the Concierge is still at front of hotel and managing to smile as he greets his new guests! Let’s just hope that he doesn’t change his mind when he sees how much luggage has been brought along!

Bellhop comes to collect luggage!

Reception is looking rather plush, not a bit of litter or mess anywhere! Right on cue appears the Bellhop who does not seem as happy as one would expect, especially after seeing how much luggage he has to carry!

Bellhop shows the way

Now, admittedly he does look somewhat overloaded with all the luggage, but it’s not as if he’s got to walk up the stairs is it? He has a rather splendid lift to use, which surely makes the guilty pleasure of watching him struggle all the more palatable. Besides, he’ll get a carrot or two for all his hard work!

Shown room.

Bellhop Bunny did a fine and dandy job of getting the luggage to the room and went away happy with a bag full of organic carrots and some pistachio crumble.

Going out for evening meal - all dressed up.

One always needs to make certain that when going out for evening meals you make an effort! Clothes are there to be worn, not hung up on hangers! Bunnies do try to make every effort to look splendid at all times, it’s in the rule book!

Heading for fun in the lift.

Bunnies love to go up and down, and so do lifts.. lots of fun can be had in them, and we mean lots!! Having said that, a certain inventor known to all at Bunny Towers as AW creates lifts that seem to do nothing but squish people; so if you’re reading this AW, you know where to research your ideas!

Ground floor..

Now, time to head off for the evening meal! Empty tummies rumble for everyone remember.

Transport ...

Bunnies do not make the best drivers in the world, often banging into things for some unknown reason! But when in Rome do as the Romans do and take transportation to your destination.

Waiting for table..

Anticipation of a good meal, fine conversation and a lovely dinner date wets the appetite to no end!

Grumpy front of house!

Oh my, oh noooos! It’s the last thing you need when waiting on your table, a miserable front of house! He looks like someone has raided his pod or pinched his stash of carrots.

Out for a romantic stroll down the promenade..

After dinner its time to move out into the evening air for a romantic stroll, soaking up the atmosphere and the company.

Coffe?

Bunnies love their Coffee as much as much as anyone! It keeps them spritely and bouncy.

Soaking up the atmosphere..

It’s nice to observe all the goings on along the promenade, it brings the whole experience to life!

On our way to Hill Top View..

Time to head on over to Hill Top View – always worth a picture or two at such a nice tranquil setting.

Steady pace, no need to rush ..

It looks steeper than it is, but best taken at a leisurely pace..

We made it ... picture time!

Get the camera out and snap snap snap!!!

Smile, say "Carrots!"

If the above picture could speak, it would speak the language of love..

Doing a ViNC Pose AND a jump!!

The whole experience was wonderful up until this point, as you have seen for yourselves. Sadly, its at this point in the travelog that we have to cut in and get nitty with the nitty-gritty. These two sweet bunnies may have unwittingly picked the wrong evening to go out on, the wrong location or perhaps just the wrong time.

Some in the office speculated that it was the ViNC pose that caused the terrible events that followed; others that it was merely a coincidence. Whatever it was, it is not a pretty sight and therefore would recommend any one of a nervous disposition to stop reading right now!

No sooner had the ViNC pose finished in favor of a more fitting one, than a moment of the greatest importance to Bunny Land and the entire little big planet universe occured.. one that will be debated for decades, and beyond.

Oh nooooos - sad news warning!!!

It best to let the Bunny who lived to tell the tale explain what happened in his own words,

“I was on a romantic walk with my beloved, up behind Bunny Hills. Anyway, we gets to the top, and there was this beautiful view along the horizon, it was such a pleasing sight. So, I gets me Camera out to take a picture or two and then tells her to strike a pose. At first she did that ViNC Pose thing, but I told her to stop being so silly as I can’t stand him, or that bloody pose! He stands still for thirteen days and he’s made out to be some form of hero! My grandma sat still for 14 years and never won a single Carrot!!”

He continues,

“So, I’m now looking down the barrel of the lens and I hear this almighty shuddering noise, then the air becomes as thick as glue, could hardly move – then I begin to lose me balance and fall backwards, banging me head, knocked clean out. I wakes up only to find that she is missing, no sign of her apart from some scorched marks close to where she stood. I reports the event immediately to the local Bunnystone Kops who told me she had probably gone home. I knew she would never do such a thing, but no one would believe the story I was telling until I had the photographs developed. I must have hit the shutter button just as I was falling to the ground and this was the picture that was taken.”

There's something in the mist..

The image clearly shows a bunny in some form of distress, with some strange anomaly in the background and scratch marks on the lens of the camera.

Professor B. Layton from A.T.B.A.S.T.L demonstrating image enhancing formula.

The all important image was eventually handed over to Professor B. Layton from All Things Bright And Some Things Light (A.T.B.A.S.T.L) who ran one of their image enhancing formulas over the picture to see if they could work out exactly what was going on in the background.

LAG MONSTER REVEALED!!!!!

What his team revealed was the single most exciting capture since Grandpa Bunny lost his teeth in 1843. The image revealed to Professor B.Layton and his team of hard working cleverer than clever itself Bunnies at A.T.B.A.S.T.L the actual physical representation of the LAG MONSTER in all his beastly glory! He can be seen in that split second appearing before his victim and then, well.. one shudders to even think what happened after that!

We asked Professor B. Layton for some official comment regarding the Lag Monster and was told:

“It has been known for some time that the lag monster has been making numerous sighted appearances in Bunny land, with the long held belief that Bunnies are being taken then set to work in the lag-mines. Never to see daylight again, searching endlessly for deposits of the mysterious ‘lag’ that allows the monster to materialize in random positions, then slowing the land down to a standstill, as he picks off his next victim to feed his lust for lag.”

The Professor has confirmed that A.T.B.A.S.T.L are working on a system that could, pending successful trials, give early warning as to when the Lag Monster may be approaching by detecting molecules of lag that form at any given time. It is believed to be impossible to stop the monster from entering bunny land and that the only course of action that can be realistically taken is to fight-or-flight; in effect, take your chances or return as quickly as you possibly can to your pod and hide under your controller until he moves on!

We here at Bunny Towers will do all we can to keep you informed on any updates regarding the matter – as well as the unconfirmed rumor that A.T.B.A.S.T.L will be working towards an expedition to seek out further deposits of lag-minerals so as to better understand and combat the growing increase in activity here in bunny land. We salute you and your team Professor .. doing your bit to make sure that all bunnies can sleep safe and sound in bunny land once more.
